Have you ever wondered where fines assigned by any court system go? I sure have.

Courts in my area don’t publish that information.

Here’s the issue: if any of the money collected from fines goes into the local government budget, there is a motivation to find accused guilty so they can have a bigger budget. I suspect that courts, district attorney’s offices, police departments and even public defenders offices benefit from guilty verdicts, and the costs of collecting the fines are lowered substantially by plea bargaining.

Can you see why anyone employed by the law enforcement industry wants you to be found guilty, and are so willing to trade jail time for fines and fees? And why everything they do has fees attached?

Any ideas about how to remove the monetary incentives for even your public defender to make sure you are found guilty?
